Review: So much fun for so little money! - My wife and I LOVE this thing! What a great time for so little money. :-) We get so much enjoyment from watching the excellent videos and photos captured by this device, day and night around the clock in any and all weather. We live right in the middle of a good sized Northern Virginia city not far from Washington DC, so we thought using it to watch the trays and feeders we put out for birds would be about the only thing we would use it for; wildlife is scarce to non-existant in town, right? Wrong. Since we started using this out on our front porch, mounted on a small camera tripod just a few inches high (in a large townhouse subdivision), we get the most incredible videos and photos of birds of all kinds, squirrels, skunks (stinkers aren't welcome, but most are very well behaved), raccoons, local pets (and ferals) outside late at night and even the occasional groundhog, fox and other critter we never imagined was nearby -- no idea whatsoever that most of these animals were here, and we've been here twenty years! :-) Once we discovered them, we started putting out feed and fresh water for them daily (and every night). Word spread quickly -- they must have texted all their buddies, because now we have a large number of regulars coming around almost every night in the wee hours, sometimes as many as 10 or 15 individual animals, and that's not even counting the birds of every kind! Having just retired, the enjoyment we get watching the videos and photographs, or even better, now just looking out the window of our front door, is priceless. This is a cheap good time, folks. In addition to the many animals we enjoy having as visitors, the camera also has alerted us to the arrival of pests we otherwise might never have noticed. We really love most of the wildlife visitors, so pretty much the only animals to which we now attach the label of pest are rats. Unfortunately, where there are people, there will be rats, especially when food and fresh water are so readily available. We can't trap or poison the rats without trapping or endangering the other wildlife, particularly the squirrels (one of which my wife is able to feed by hand) to which rats are closely related, so the only thing to do short of spending a fortune on professionals and disrupting ALL the critters coming here regularly for sustenance has been taking them out with a better quality .22 caliber variable pump airgun I bought for the purpose. As much as I dislike doing it (gave up hunting decades ago), we can't have rats around our home, and our neighbors agree, so taking them out helps not only us, but everyone else in the community, even the pets that are allowed outdoors. The camera was indispensible when this happened, showing us not only that rats were here, but allowing us to track down where they were living, which was critical to getting rid of them. This inexpensive camera has been the best toy and tool imagineable. For lovers of wildlife anywhere, even in the middle of cities, for budding video and photographers, for retired seniors looking for an enjoyable new hobby, for tracking down and locating pests and/or simply satisfying your curiousity, this might be just what you need. It's certainly been a great time for us. The camera, a regular supply of triple-A batteries (good for maybe five days to a week of constant use, but we buy batteries in quantity from Costco), a couple of SD cards (when we bring it in, we remove the card from the device, replace it with the previous card already copied to our PC and put it right back outside, in whatever area of interest we discovered watching the latest footage) and you should be ready to go! The short tabletop tripod is very handy, although I already had a few from my 35mm and digital camera hobby, but the camera is equipped with a lengthy strap easily wrapped around almost anything: fence and railing posts, bushes, trees, whatever is handy, so while we absolutely LOVE the closeups we get of the curious skunks, raccoons, birds or whatever (plenty of those too), a tripod is not strictly necessary. The camera has a setup menu that could be challenging for those not very comfortable with smart phones, laptops and such, (the default settings should be fine in most cases), so keep that in mind if considering giving the device as a gift. Also, there was no manual accompanying the device on delivery, all too common today with many electronic devices, but if it helps keep prices this low, we're okay without it (the manual probably is available for download online, although I haven't checked). Luckily, experience and experimentation were good enough teachers, so we discovered what worked (or didn't) as we used it. As I think I've mentioned, we really enjoy it. Our game camera has proved itself time and again in the almost three years since it was delivered. It's a lot of fun, especially considering the unexpectedly low price, and is still going strong after heavy use (even being dropped a time or three). If you are at all curious about what might be just outside your home while you're peacefully sleeping indoors unaware, this is a great way to find out. You guys have got to give it a shot (sorry, couldn't resist). ;-) Recommended.
Review: A great value for the money - This WOSPORTS Trail Cam is top of the line; it's well worth the money and provides Crystal-Clear images. The features are easy to use, the user manual is easy to understand, and being non-cellular and non-Wi-Fi is a big plus for me. Customer service is easily accessible, with friendly and helpful agents. It comes with 8 AA Duracell batteries, a charging cable, a flash drive, an SD card, and mounting hardware. A rechargeable battery pack is not included but is available for purchase. The integrated AI animal recognition names the recognized object with the corresponding species. It mainly supports the recognition of six species: bear, deer, wild boar, turkey, wolf, and human. For the time being, the video does not support animal recognition. They do state that with the increase of time and training data, more species may be supported in the future. As with all Wosports products I've purchased in the past, I highly recommend this.

## Questions & Answers

**Q: Temperature requirements**
A: Much below freezing and it'll start missing pics/vids, until it takes none. Recommend lowering all pic/video quality settings in extreme cold and start w/ picture burst first when a video is wanted to "wake it up". Excellent pictures and video's under warmer conditions.

**Q: How does this trail camera perform at night?**
A: This trail camera G600 performs very well during the day or at night!

**Q: Does it make a sound when a picture is taken? And does it flash or have a red flash when it is taken?**
A: No sound but a red flash

**Q: can i hook up a solar panel to this trail cam?**
A: I have had this camera version with the solar device attached at the top that it came with. I'd say pay the extra for the entire device. Very well worth the cost. It gives me a very clear picture and have had no issues other than the color fade of the camo only.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Excellent Customer Service
*by C***S on December 31, 2025*

I researched customer reviews and eventually decided to import 2 of these cameras to Namibia in late November 2025. My decision was principally based upon the reported (a) good value and (b) Customer Service. My need was for cameras that would not break the budget and take good quality photos, while not being too concerned if they were damaged by wildlife or stolen. I immediately put the cameras in the field upon receiving them. That led to my first issue. Although the cameras included flexible mounting brackets (that I did not use), the mounting straps were of poor material with one snapping in the first two weeks. What was more troubling was the straps had to be threaded through the buckle, rather than the buckle having a locking clamp for easy tightening and securing the camera. This is an easy manufacturing 'fix'. Set up was easy and the directions were easy to follow. I elected both photos and videos. I did not option for sound. Photo/video quality was good for both, but not 5* outstanding. The depth of field in daylight was very good. Close ups at night were very acceptable, but less so if the animal was further away. I had the cameras in the field on 3 separate occasions in November/December for about a week each with literally hundreds of photos/videos taken by each camera. Although the batteries were far from drained, I recharged them after each use. There were two frustrating issues: (a) the battery holder is absolutely tight requiring the use of a flathead screw driver to push them out from the rear of the case. The case seems designed this way as there are 8 slits for driver insertion. (b) Most settings are lost over the time required for recharging. This is a nuisance, but it takes only a few minutes to reset the settings. One camera, however, had a huge problem from the beginning, i.e., it would reset time and date while in the field, reverting back to 01/01/2024. This was a major issue for me since I use the cameras as much for anti-poaching as wildlife photography. Eventually, I clicked upon "Contact us" in Settings and emailed the provided address. I was stunned to have a response within 24 hours! We had numerous communications over the course of several days. WOSPORTS had never encountered this issue before and I supplied photo records to prove my point. As I write this review on 31 December, I have a new camera in the mail!! To summarize, my decision to purchase these cameras on customer reviews was 'spot on'! They are good value and from my experience the Customer Service is excellent. I do recommend the cameras if your needs are similar to mine.
