The ink is waterproof so these make nice drawing pens too, for 'line and wash' watercolor art. The line is truly fine, even finer than a Pilot V5 Extra Fine, yet not so fine that it's hard to see. Perfect! If you like the Pilot G-Tek C4, this one writes just the same yet has more eye appeal and is more comfortable to hold. Great colors, although two of them (the light orange and pink) don't jump off the paper as well as the others. The dark blue one is unique, it's a deep blue-black. It pretty much reads "black" so I like that there's essentailly two black pens in this set, since I rarely use any other color, I just like options!
