Is there another one that has less exposure?** A: You put it in wrong. The ball must be tucked away for it to not hit. Try pushing it in further and use the second hole in the receiver, not the first. As for the one with "sloped receiver" that is only for 2500. They also have great customer service if there happens to be an issue. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ It works great with my 2025 GMC 1500's fancy tail gate .. in it's stowed position *by T***O on July 31, 2025* This really has a lot of ingenuity in it's design. It is different than the one for my 2500 with the drop down tail gate. On that one I could park the ball low. On this 1500, I needed to park the ball sideways on the bottom setting, but did not need to fold it under. The fellow who posted the pic of interference should learn how to use his hitch. It takes 20 seconds to drop out of the way. Maybe he just wanted something to complain about. When hooked to a trailer don't drop the tailgate insert.
