The blue pin is for top coats and/or varnish, the green tip is for chalk/milk paint & the red tip is for latex paint. You’ll need to water down pretty much any & all paint, but it’s so easy! I was very scared to try when I first bought mine, but now it’s as easy as 1,2, 3!! Best decision I ever made was to buy this sprayer!! I refinish furniture, so I use it pretty often. Just make sure to clean out in between uses! **Q: can I use semigloss paint for my kitchen cabinets in this sprayer** A: Yes! Ive used semi-gloss paint in my sprayer!
