I tried to see if it could be pulled off and it would not budge, but for those who worry about that simply take a couple of minutes to add some stitching. As for the product being squashed within the packaging: We took a hand steamer to it before adding the gifts and shaped it. It was quick work and we had it looking beautiful in no time. This basket held a lot more items than we expected! We put in 3 books, a blanket, washcloths, baby lotion, bibs, a stuffed animal and clothing. If you are looking for a cute way to present gifts and hate using gift bags or wrapping paper that will just be tossed, try this basket.

I bought this twice in 2 different sizes. Both times they were perfect. This basket is heavy and is excellent quality. It comes folded up and secured with fabric ribbon. If giving as a gift with gifts in it, just open it up for a bit and shape it before you assemble your gift, or put gifts in it to hold the shape until you assemble. The ears stand up fine, especially when there's gifts in the basket. It's adorable and both times that I gave as gifts at 2 different baby showers, I got compliments on it. Its my go - to when I have a baby shower to attend. I highly recommend.
