A: Depends on what is being looked for. The kit should work for identifying bacteria in soils, but there may be other organisms that would not be picked up by a bacteria stain (Protozoa, for instance)

**Q: are these specifically for bacteria? Or can they be used for plant cells like Onion?**
A: While these stains are designed for use with bacteria, the kit does contain common stains that can be used with other materials as well.
