I have problems with my knees (due to running) and the typical mats still managed to hurt mys knees. This mat is twice as thick as those typical mats and does not cause me to have any knee pain. I was initially concerned that they would slip around on the floor, but they stayed put, exactly as you placed them. They never moved through hour long yoga sessions. The strap it comes with is an added bonus. It makes it very easy to transport and store. I would definitely recommend this product and plan on purchasing more in the future as they are needed. Review: Thick mat but probably only good for low intensity exercise. There is no grip to it, so it doesn't stay put if you want to do certain poses.
