Thanks! Review: Hooks are Nice, but Cord Attachment is Inadequate - Updated 12/2025-I have used the braces for 5 months and they are still going strong, so I changed my rating from 3 to a 5. I have learned that if you hold on to the bungee just below the hook when you tension it, the hook/bungee attachment works well and doesn't fail. I like the hook arrangement better than the Velcro shoelace strap of my previous foot lifter, so I gave it 3 stars. However the attachment of the elastic cord to the hook is insufficient. Both ends of one foot had the elastic outer cover pull out of the plastic hook within 3 days. The interior non-elastic cord is still attached, so the lifters still work, but I wonder how long it will be till it breaks. Also, It is difficult to remove the Velcro ankle straps, as there is no unattached tab to grab onto.
