Review: Good taste. Quality drink - I've been drinking Slate drinks for two months now and they are worth getting if you are looking for High Protein drinks with natural sweeteners. I started off with the classic variety pack and if you are expecting these to taste like chocolate milk or milk in general, you are best sticking with Core Powers (which I also like but have more calories and sugar/sugar alternatives). None of these drinks are very sweet but both the chocolate and dark chocolate taste good. I'm not a fan of the vanilla which is very bland but it's fine if you eat something along with it. I'd highly recommend the chocolate variety which has the mocha flavor and is the sweetest and best tasting, however it has caffeine which may not be what everyone is looking for in a protein drink. Due to the not liking the vanilla, I haven't tried the coffee variety pack because it has a vanilla latte but I think I'll give it a go for my next order because of how much I like the mocha flavor. If so, I will update this accordingly. I've seen these at some grocery stores so if you are on the fence about buying a 12 pack, I'd recommend getting one of the chocolates or mocha and then ordering a case on here to save money.

The shake is very filling and I often start my day with one for breakfast and follow up with a light lunch several hours later. Of course I prefer to find Slat Milk on sale, who doesn’t love a bargain? but honestly they’re a good value at full price as well, it easily replaces a meal and I can’t think of any meal I can buy or prepare for $3.

A: No not carbonated. But do make a "pop" when first opened.

**Q: I dont understand how it is keto when it says 16 carbs/1 fiber for the mocha - please explain.  i am anxious to try these; however, please clarify?**
A: Not all carbs are created equal, and we have two forms of carbohydrates that have significantly less than 4cal per! We use a real rate sugar called allulose that has 1/10 of the calories, and a chicory root fiber that has less than other carbs as well! I hope this helps provide some clarification.

Many people on a keto diet count "net carbs", which is total carbs minus fiber and in our case, minus allulose as well. Insoluble fiber and allulose aren't "counted" in the carbohydrate total, because it's not digested or absorbed by the body! Our chocolate milks have 1-4g net carbs.

**Q: Why so many carbs?**
A: Probably because it has whey protein, but that't not a bad carb. And there's no sugar!

Love the milk chocolate and latte flavors. The dark chocolate is just a touch off - they're all drinkable, the dark chocolate one is just a touch too bitter on the dark chocolate flavor. They're great refrigerated and the texture isn't as rich as milk, yet nicely filling. It's just right and I look forward to ordering more milk chocolate ones!
