It was really simple to set up, both bluetooth, and by USB. For ~$100 this was a great deal and should work fine for my D&D/Pathfinder Game Room. Now, while I can easily make it work for my needs, I have a few thoughts about the product. These are not negatives, just things I've noticed that I wish were different. 1. As a computer audio conf bridge, USB connected, the sound output was great when set at its max setting. To test this I placed the Ego in the middle of the gaming table, set up a Zoom call with one person, played music loudly on the overhead speaker system at the same time, and had someone else in the room talking loudly. The remote user said they could hear just fine (both the person speaking and the background music) and I could hear him over the device without difficulty. Excellent example of the quality of the product (so far... *smile*). 2. As a mobile phone audio conf bridge, bluetooth connected, the sound output was MUCH lower. While usable, if the room were larger (prone to echos), or if there were a lot of people trying to talk at the same time (locally and remotely), I am pretty sure the sound output would NOT be sufficient. 3. ENHANCEMENT - The headset port would be a great place to provide an EXTERNAL speaker/audio system connection; the Eco can't do it in its current design. Here's why: When I connected external speakers to the port (to improve the audio output while on bluetooth mode), I could hear fine through the speakers, but the MIC was DISABLED. I get why they designed it this way (it's just a simple headset port). I just wish it had a separate audio OUT port, or intelligently recognized when an audio-only device is plugged into the headset port and NOT disabled the devices MIC. I plan to mount this to the ceiling of the game room, centered over the table (see image). Velcro strips should easily hold this light weight device to the cross rails of the ceiling tile frame. I'll run a USB 3.0 extender cable above the tiles over to the PC, keeping the overall cabling as invisible as possible. All in all this will provide a major improvement to my game room set up, allowing more than one player to be remote, IF necessary. I use this for my home office as well as travel for running telephony product demo's and these work perfect. Really like the LED display built into the speaker, the controls on the unit and ease of use. Many have complained about the volume, but I have not experience this. I use with my MacBook Pro and iPhone X and have not experienced any audio quality issues. Also like the unique design! One wishlist item would be for it to support more than one bluetooth connected device.
