We were happy with the it overall until the swivel clasp cleaved right off. In a matter of 2 seconds, my friendly dog took off to say hi to another dog and the metal failed. What a danger. She crossed the street and the rope burned my leg slightly. Also, I've experienced a significant hand rope burn with this lead. The rubber does make it grippy to hold but you really have to watch out. The weight of the rope was nice for my larger dog because it didn't tangle at all. Was easy to tie a loop knot halfway to hold at 25ft. We use the 33ft. long-line for exercise and searches in open spaces. The rubberized threads are necessary to choke up on an 80lb. ball of high-strung muscle in the form of a German Shepherd Dog. The first one we bought was used daily for a year-and-a-half before she misplaced it. It wasn’t showing any major signs of wear. Is the leash quite expensive? Yup. Is it still worth it?
