It stayed together but not under lots of weight on the cutting board -due to the small surface area. Something with at least 1/2" surface area should do well. **Q: Is the "set time" the amount of time I would need to hold the pieces together?** A: Set time is for items to initially form a bond to hold together. Cure is for the adhesive to fully dry out so you can work with it.
