RED can go hot all the time or to a switched power source(I have mine hot all the time since it does not appear to drain power in my RAM 1500) BLACK is to ground - MAKE SURE - you scrape the metal a bit for the best ground blue IS TO YOUR VEHICLE HORN if you wish. I did not use it since the unit already has the air horn sound and a "regular" sound built in, But if you wish you can hook the blue into your horn and it will over ride the built in sound when you push the button, but I like having the 3 different horns. GREEN will throw you for a loop you can use 1 or both of them but you only need 1 green that will go to the siren the other one is if you have 2 sirens. NOW here is where you will get messed up. 1 single green goes to the white side of the siren the black wire on the siren goes to ground. I just crimp on a loop and use a self taping screw to bolt it down. I can not explain why the made the green wires from the box go to a white wire at the siren one would have thought the colors would match. The WHITE and the YELLOW go to anything else you wish to run like a hazard light in the back window and a light on the roof. I always put the white and yellow wires in the plug holes them so I don't loose the jumper wires then tie them back FYI I have LED flashers in my grill so I use one color of wire to the front lights and since I also have a set of strobes in my rear tail lights I use the other wire to run them. I also like to leave my unit in the auxiliary because that way I have the PA ready at a moment as well as the air horn sound when you push the 2 way toggle down and the regular siren that I can use manually by pushing the button up. Otherwise you will have to select a specific sound and if hot wired it will sound off all the time and if switched it will sound off at the last setting you were using it for. So when it is all said I done you can see why I leave it on aux all the time UNLESS I am responding to a fire or a medical emergency that I have to get there by yesterday so using the moment 2 way switch is to hard to hold down and drive. Also another FYI I did have a couple of times that the unit would not come on when I needed the PA or would not shut up! It seems that the computer in the box on rare occasions gets confused and I found the fastest and easiest way to fix was to just unplug the mic and plug it back in and it all goes back to normal.
