**Q: Do you have to attach the back or could you have it open, like the Ikea Kallax unit?**
A: Yes you could have it open if you want..it is quite stable

**Q: Will 12 inch vinyl records fit in the boxes?**
A: No - I bought this unit for exactly that purpose but the boxes are slightly too small - you can put a 12 inch record in them at an angle, which reduces storage space and ultimately may lead to damage.

**Q: What size of storage box will fit in the cubes?**
A: On the item it specifies the holes are 30.5cm x30.5cm x28cm. 
I think I measured it when I assembled it as 12inchx12inch

**Q: Does this item come preassembled?**
A: No.Assembly required.
