## Description

Liquitex offers the broadest range of acrylic mediums to inspire creativity at every stage of the painting process. Liquitex Gel Mediums add body to thinner paint for impasto techniques as well as extending color volume and adding transparency. Gels tend to dry slower than thinner paint films, allowing for more workable time. Gel mediums can modify acrylic paints in a variety of ways and since they contain acrylic resins, tend to improve adhesion and durability. Liquitex gel mediums can add texture enhance color and increase transparency within your work Liquitex Gloss Heavy Gel Painting Medium is an extra heavy body medium which dries to a transparent or translucent gloss finish. Mix with acrylic paint to increase body density, viscosity, and attain oil-paint-like consistency with brush or palette knife marks. Extends paint while increasing brilliance and transparency. Keeps paint workable, longer than other gel mediums. APPLICATION: IN COLLAGE: Makes an excellent glue for collage and decoupage. AS A GROUND: Use as transparent ground for acrylic paint instead of gesso to allow surface to be seen. To prevent Substrate Induced Discoloration (SID) wash cotton or linen canvas before use. **Q: Is this what I should use to transfer a photo to cloth?**
A: Yes. If you laser print your photo onto the shiny side of the a label’s backing paper (you have to peel off and discard/use elsewhere the actual label) you can just just peel it off after drying instead of the water and rub method!

**Q: Description states, "Usually ships within 2 to 4 months". I'm hoping that is an error because I was just about to order this.**
A: It depends on seller. If you want to order this with current seller which lead time to ships is 2-4 month, try to contact and confirm with them. It might be an error like you said. Or you might try to order this with another seller with less lead time to ship. The 99 Give Store usually ships this item within 3-4 business days.

**Q: I used this to create textures for my painting and it just shrank and flattened. I thought this was suppose to give texture and high peaks. How come?**
A: Firstly, the product will flatten out on a flat surface as it dries - this is an unavoidable effect of gravity. "High peaks" must be carefully sculpted and then reshaped while drying - consider drying your piece upside down. Let gravity do its work. Secondly, this product is designed to be used with other Liquitex acrylic paints - if you're mixing it with another type of paint, an unfavorable chemical reaction may be affecting your desired result. The same holds true if you are applying it over a painted surface which has dried. Third, you could consider adding a stiffening agent, such as quick setting acrylic adhesive, to your mixture. This will force the gel to "set up" quickly and stiffen. Experiment with a little bit of material first.

**Q: After I transfer a photo, can I use this on top as a finish or is it just for the transfer process?**
A: You use it as a top coat, it dries clear and works as a seal
