The blotter itself is nothing special, a cardboard backing with 4 poorly made corners. I reenforced my corners with black duct tape. The real prize is the paper. I draw all my projects before beginning and this is some of the best graph paper I have ever used. Nice large size, very clearly printed on quality paper. I will simply order this item again when I need a "refill". **Q: how many sheets?** A: 50 sheets **Q: So how many sheets? 25 or 50?** A: There are 50 sheets in the pack. **Q: Is this a bound pad or loose sheets please specify when calling this a pad of paper** A: It is loose sheets and would be OK except the 4 corners holding the paper are very poor quality.
