I would choose at least a medium strength silicone sealer. **Q: Will this work to seal the top on a raised roof van?** A: 3M Marine 4000 UV Adhesive is an excellent UV resistant caulk. The 4000 is especially designed for fiberglas and teak. If you want the toughest structural waterproof joint use the 3M 5200. Do not use the 5200 if you plan to take the raised part off. Once cured the 5200 forms a tenacious glued together joint. **Q: does this caulk contain polyurethan?** A: No, unless it goes by another name. I did not see it listed on the label. -Jim ## Frequently Bought Together - 3M Marine Adhesive Sealant 4000 UV, PN06580, White, Medium Strength Flexible Waterproof Adhesive Sealant for Boats and RVs, UV Resistant, Cures in 24 Hours, 295 mL Cartridge, 10 Fl Oz (Pack of 1) - 3M Marine Adhesive Sealant Fast Cure 5200 (06535) Permanent Bonding and Sealing for Boats and RVs Above and Below the Waterline Waterproof Repair, White, 1 fl oz Tube - 3M Marine Adhesive Sealant Fast Cure 4200 (06560) – Semi-Permanent Flexible Adhesive Sealant for Boats and RVs, White, Flexible Bonds, Underwater-Safe, 295 mL Cartridge --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.co.za/products/341522884-3m-06580-marine-adhesive-sealant-fast-cure-4000-uv-white](https://www.desertcart.co.za/products/341522884-3m-06580-marine-adhesive-sealant-fast-cure-4000-uv-white) --- *Product available on Desertcart South Africa* *Store origin: ZA* *Last updated: 2026-10-13*
