Crafted from durable manganese alloy steel with a diamond cross pattern, these chains provide superior traction and a smoother ride on snow and ice. Designed for light trucks and SUVs, they meet Class 'S' clearance standards and install quickly without vehicle movement, making them an essential winter safety upgrade for professionals who demand reliability and efficiency. ## Description Auto‑Trac can be installed without moving (or jacking up) the vehicle! The patented, ratcheting tightening system automatically tightens the chain while driving. Just connect the inside cable, attach the two outside selftighteners and drive! No additional chain tensioners are necessary or recommended. Auto‑Trac will meet Class “S” clearance requirements on SUVs and pickup trucks, as well as normal passenger cars (matching the capabilities of most of our “Z” cable products). This is possible because of a highly effective, patented tensioning system. Auto‑Trac cross member links are made of manganese alloy steel, allowing them to be shorter, narrower and lighter than conventional cross members. This reduces “fly‑off” during operation and provides more gripping points. The low‑mass “D” cross section of the links also contributes to longer wear because the impact of the cross members on the road surface is reduced and the surface area contacting the road is increased. ## Features - Worry-Free Self-Tightening Ratchets Provide Automatic Tightening And Centering - Easy Installation And Removal In Minutes - Do Not Exceed 30 Mph With These Chains On - Diamond Pattern Cross Chain Provides A Smoother Ride And Superior Traction ## Technical Specifications | Specification | Value | |---------------|-------| | ASIN | B003SK8DMQ | | Automotive Fit Type | Vehicle Specific Fit | | Best Sellers Rank | #96,373 in Automotive ( See Top 100 in Automotive ) #28 in Passenger Car Snow Chains | | Brand Name | SCC | | Compatible with Vehicle Type | Light Truck, SUV | | Customer Reviews | 4.3 4.3 out of 5 stars (3,795) | | Global Trade Identification Number | 00042228082574 | | Included Components | Tire chain | | Item Type Name | Tire chain | | Item Weight | 13.9 Pounds | | Manufacturer | Peerless Chain | | Manufacturer Part Number | 0232605 | | Material Type | Alloy Steel, Carbon Steel, Stainless Steel | | Model Number | 0232105 | | Number of Items | 1 | | UPC | 042228082574 | | Unit Count | 2 Count | | Wheel Size | 275 Millimeters | ## Product Details - **Brand:** SCC - **Item weight:** 13.9 Pounds - **Material:** Alloy Steel, Carbon Steel, Stainless Steel - **Vehicle service type:** Light Truck, SUV - **Wheel size:** 275 Millimeters ## Images ![Peerless 0232105 Auto-Trac Light Truck/SUV Tire Traction Chain - 2 Count (Pack of 1) - Image 1](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/912PTA0-GQL.jpg) ## Available Options This product comes in different **Size** options. ## Frequently Bought Together - SCC Peerless 0232105 Auto-Trac Light Truck/SUV Tire Traction Chain - 2 Count (Pack of 1) - SCC QG20074 Quik Grip Light Truck Traction Chain Rubber Tightener - Set of 2 , Black - TireChain.com 39225 Truck SUV Spider Tensioner Tightener Bungee Tire Chains --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.co.za/products/340492833-peerless-0232105-auto-trac-light-truck-suv-tire-traction-chain](https://www.desertcart.co.za/products/340492833-peerless-0232105-auto-trac-light-truck-suv-tire-traction-chain) --- *Product available on Desertcart South Africa* *Store origin: ZA* *Last updated: 2026-10-23*
