If your shoe is suede, try rubbing some talcum power or corn starch into the spot, let it sit over night then brush it out; that should help. **Q: Can this be used on a light brown suede coat?** A: I’m not really sure how well it would work on the coat.. I’ve used it on suede shoes, and it works great. It sprays very smoothly and consistently, and it kind of just dies when it's empty rather than sputter and soak at the end. I can say is that they didn't harm the (black) suede visually or texturally in any way. The smell dissipated in a few days. I sweat a lot outside wearing the belts, and the suede gets a little moist to the touch but seems to dry out fine. I don't plan on subjecting the suede to anything extreme, so I can't vouch that it will save it from a soaking event, but can hope for the best.
