## Description

Summer’s here, and there’s no better way to beat the heat than swimming in the pool with your furry best friend!
Since pool ladders aren't made for paws, your dog needs a reliable and easier way to enjoy the pool. The one-of-a-kind PetStep Dog Ramp for Pools by HandiRamp is the prime solution for giving your dog safe access to your pool.
Featuring NEW locking leg brackets for ultimate stability, the PetStep pool ramp makes the dog days of summer ones to remember for a lifetime.
When there’s a doggy downer, we don’t hide behind excuses or confusing language. We make it right. Last summer, some of our large and active PetStep pups experienced the screws pulling out of the ramp, causing the pool legs to detach. Upon further inspection, the screws were pulling out of the ramp due to the weight and force exerted on the angle of the legs.
The Locking Leg Brackets are custom-made to fit the PetStep pool ramp and pool legs. After determining that there needed to be more stability for the legs of the ramp, we designed and fabricated these brackets to permanently attach to the most structurally sound part of the ramp, the structural spines running down the middle. These aluminum locking leg brackets come permanently installed on every pool ramp, so you don't have to worry about the legs coming loose or the threaded inserts being pulled.
The Original PetStep Folding Dog Ramp is the prime accessibility solution for dogs. The PetStep folds in half for convenient portability and storage. When not being used in the pool, the pool legs can be easily removed so that the ramp can be used in vehicles, on furniture, and more.
The PetStep pool legs are constructed of durable aircraft-grade aluminum that supports the ramp when used in the pool. The pool legs are hollow so that they fill with water when submerged, securing a strong base for your dog as they use the ramp. The stabilization brace connects the two pool legs for added support. Rubber feet prevent scratches to the pool floor and are safe to use with vinyl liners.
PetStep offers two pawsome pool leg options: Standard and Long. Our Standard pool legs are ideal for pool depths from 42 to 52 inches deep, as they raise the pool-side of the ramp by 23”, creating a comfortable slope for your pup. This pool depth is measured from the pool floor to the top of the pool coping, not the depth of the water. For pools deeper than 52 inches, the Long leg kit is recommended to ensure that the ramp is not too steep so your dog can comfortably enjoy the pool!
The incline for pool ramp with the Standard legs is approximately 30 degrees when placed in a pool with a 52” measurement, as shown in the diagram below. The vast majority of dogs find this incline very comfortable. However, if you’ve got a pool with a depth of 52” or less, but you’d like a gentler incline, you can certainly order the pool ramp with the long legs that will provide a milder slope.
Firstly, grab your measuring tape. Measure the depth of your pool from the pool floor to the top of the pool coping where the top of the ramp will rest. Conversely, if you already know the exact depth of the water in your pool, you can measure the gap between the surface of the water and the top of the pool coping and add that to the depth of the water.

## Features

- Now your pet can access your pool! The pool legs attach to the PetStep ramp to create a pool ramp.
- Made of composite plastic & fiberglass, the PetStep ramp is durable in both wet and dry conditions.
- The non-slip rubberized surface is gentle on paws & provides superior traction even when submerged.
- The pool legs are constructed of aircraft-grade aluminum & have rubber feet to protect your pool.
- The universal non-slip grip of the PetStep ramp fits all above-ground or in-ground pool edges.

## Questions & Answers

**Q: Tips for stabilizing? It's wobbly, and if my 75lb lab doesn't go down it perfectly straight before jumping in it falls over. The legs want to float.**
A: Make sure legs are filled with water and firmly in pace first and get the brackets they sell for stabilizing…. They work well for my malinois 💕

**Q: can this be used off a dock into a natural lake?**
A: Good afternoon, if there was a way to keep the ramp afloat halfway submerged in the water that would be best. This Pool Bundle, requires the legs to touch the floor of the pool. We are experimenting with a few different options right now including using some buoys that mount to the threads under the ramp. As of right now, we don't have anything specifically designed for the lake.

Regards,
Handi-Ramp

**Q: Do you think we could use this ramp during the winter to allow dog to climb into a bed? (pool summer / bed winter)**
A: Yes, the PetStep ramp could absolutely help your pup into your bed! Many owners have done just that. Bear in mind that it is 70" long when unfolded.

**Q: Can this be used outside the pool? My dog has trouble getting up the ladder into the pool, would this work the other way around to help him get in?**
A: So the pool legs themselves are approximately 24" long, so the end of the ramp would be 24" off of the ground on the outside of the pool. If you can get your dog up to the ramp - two feet - either with steps or by lifting, it would absolutely allow him or her to use the ramp from the outside of the pool to get into the pool. My only concern is that it doesn't sound like you've got a deck around the pool. Without a deck your pup wouldn't have anywhere to stand once they've reached the top of the ramp. Feel free to call us and we can noodle it together.
