Once you see them they are very easy to understand and use. Took me less that 5 minutes to get them on and adjusted to fit me. **Q: How long are the straps?** A: They can be adjusted to be quite long. I am not a svelte person and after adjustment, I have plenty of lenth going unused. **Q: Can this work for as a strap extender for a 1 3/4 or 1.75 strap?** A: i don't think these straps are designed as extensions they are male and female. **Q: How long are they? The description says 16". Is that total, or per side? The existing answer says "as long as you need", which isn't very helpful.** A: These Belts are Adjustable to say as long as you need is not an answer I have a 36 inch waist and i had no problem with these straps fitting me.
