How Hot/Cold Packs Work Our HypaGel Reusable Hot/Cold Pack can be cooled in the refrigerator or freezer to create a cold pack ideal for use in cryotherapy. The gel mixture contained in the pack maintains the cold temperature longer than using ice on an injury would. The pack can also be heated in a microwave to create a hot pack suitable for use in thermotherapy. This is due to the gel absorbing and retaining the heat provided to apply heat to the affected area. How to Use: 1. If using the HypaGel Hot/Cold Pack for heat therapy, warm it in the microwave for approximately 50 seconds. If using the Therapy Pack for cold therapy, cool it in the freezer for at least an hour. 2. Insert the therapy pack into a sleeve, compression cover or similar barrier. 3.
