TSI Supercool 16525 Total Dye - 1-Ounce - Single Application is designed for use with motor oil, hydraulic fluid, power steering fluid, brake fluid, diesel fuel, gasoline, and transmission fluids. Mix 1/4-Ounces per quart of fluid. It is most effective in clean diesel and engine oils. It is detectable when exposed to U/V light.

Review: Very helpful on my tractor - Cant see the fill level of hydraulic oil through the glass eye without the dye. A little of it goes a long way. Also helps detecting oil level on the front axle with a (YELLOW!) dipstick that would otherwise be useless. Use different colors for hydraulic and front axle so you can tell by the color of the drips where its from.

**Q: Can I use this in my power steering fluid to see if there is a leak in my power steering pump**
A: Funny you should ask, that's exactly what I used it for and it worked very well.

**Q: Is one oz enough for 4 quart of engine oil?**
A: Yes

**Q: Will this dye change the color of the brake fluid? Or keep the same color and only show in a black light?**
A: It is just my opinion that even though this product states total dye on the label it is best used in petroleum and mineral applications. I use coolant dye in brake and clutch fluids as they are all glycol based fluids.

**Q: Will the color be visible in water without a black light? Want to use for Science Fair dye project.**
A: clear water yes, but it will turn it yellow
