**Q: Can it be washed with fabric softener**
A: NEVER use fabric softner on bamboo fibers it will damage them.  The blanket will feel kind of stiff when you take it out of the washer, but upon drying it will be incredibly soft.

A: Yes, the blanket really works.  It stays cool all night long.  I get very hot at night and this blanket helps a lot.  I love it!

A: I just received this blanket. It is beyond my expectation. It is very soft and comfortable. I plan to order another one.

A: I washed mine gentle cycle dried it on gentle..still soft but tons of lint!

It's a nice lightweight blanket. I wouldn’t go so far as to say that it makes me cooler than not having a blanket at all, so in that sense it's not a -cooling- blanket. But it definitely is a -cool- blanket, very lightweight and breathable, and overall very comfortable. It's a nice looking blanket, too.
