My car broke down the first week my daughter started kindergarten, and I turned to desertcart for a solution and found this. It works perfectly for my 5 year old! The whole thing is adjustable, so you can sort of keep the little foot rests away from the bike pedals, and the seat can go wherever you want it. The handlebars did give me a bit of an issue- they didn't go on perfectly, due to the way my bike handle bars are set up, but I made it work. They are a little crooked, but they are on there and they work. I would say all in all, I'm super happy with this kit for what I paid. And it's way lighter than those bike tows, so it's a bit easier to ride up hill than it is with the tow. Review: Good for short rides - I got these for our annual trip to the Virginia Creeper Trail. While it has some strong points, it wasn't quite the right fit for our needs. Sturdy Components: Upon inspection, the bike seat appeared to be well-made and the components seemed sturdy. It's evident that the construction is solid, and it gave me confidence that it would hold up well during our bike ride. Thoughtful Design: The inclusion of handlebars is great, gives my son something to grab ahold of. Limited Use for Longer Rides: However, I ended up not using the seat for our trip to the Virginia Creeper Trail. I was unsure if my 3-year-old would get worn out halfway down, which led me to choose a different option. For longer bike rides, I would recommend considering a behind-the-seat carrier with a backrest. This type of carrier allows the child to relax more comfortably, especially for extended periods. ## Technical Specifications | Specification | Value | |---------------|-------| | ASIN | B092LCLCCF | | Bike Type | Kids Bike, Mountain Bike | | Brand | Auwey | | Brand Name | Auwey | | Color | Black | | Customer Reviews | 4.1 out of 5 stars 167 Reviews | | Manufacturer Part Number | BCS1 | | Material | Ethylene Vinyl Acetate (EVA), Memory Foam, Polyurethane Foam | | Material Type | Ethylene Vinyl Acetate (EVA), Memory Foam, Polyurethane Foam | | Model Number | BCS1 | | Outer Material | Gel | | Pad Type | Gel Pad | | UPC | 731630329673 | ## Images ![Kids Bike Seat with Handlebar Attachment, Detachable Front Mounted Child Bicycle Seats with Foot Pedals for Children 2~5 Years, Compatible with All Adult Mountain Bikes - Image 1](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/71dC-pWUnBS.jpg) ![Kids Bike Seat with Handlebar Attachment, Detachable Front Mounted Child Bicycle Seats with Foot Pedals for Children 2~5 Years, Compatible with All Adult Mountain Bikes - Image 2](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/71ZRprUthYS.jpg) ![Kids Bike Seat with Handlebar Attachment, Detachable Front Mounted Child Bicycle Seats with Foot Pedals for Children 2~5 Years, Compatible with All Adult Mountain Bikes - Image 3](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/71Q8mSYNStS.jpg) ![Kids Bike Seat with Handlebar Attachment, Detachable Front Mounted Child Bicycle Seats with Foot Pedals for Children 2~5 Years, Compatible with All Adult Mountain Bikes - Image 4](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/717rMVBOWNS.jpg) ![Kids Bike Seat with Handlebar Attachment, Detachable Front Mounted Child Bicycle Seats with Foot Pedals for Children 2~5 Years, Compatible with All Adult Mountain Bikes - Image 5](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/91+3yTETXLS.jpg) ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Works great for school commute! *by M***E on October 25, 2023* I really like this little seat add on. They broke with such ease. They should make them stronger because the traps will slide upside down occasionally. --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - πŸ›’ **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** β€” Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** β€” Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - πŸ’° **No Hidden Fees** β€” All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - πŸ”„ **15-Day Free Returns** β€” Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - πŸ”’ **Secure Payments** β€” Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** β€” Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.co.za/products/331403450-kids-bike-seat-with-handlebar-attachment-detachable-front-mounted-child](https://www.desertcart.co.za/products/331403450-kids-bike-seat-with-handlebar-attachment-detachable-front-mounted-child) --- *Product available on Desertcart South Africa* *Store origin: ZA* *Last updated: 2026-10-15*
