Good thing they were only 5 bucks, but that's not the point. The main reason I bought those cheap ones was because I didn't know which socket my fan used and I didn't want to spend the money for a Hue bulb that didn't fit. So when I realized E12 was the correct socket, I knew I needed to buy one of these as soon as possible. I'd say the wait was rough, but as I said, the cheap kind didn't last long. I've been using the Hue bulb for a month now and it's fantastic! There's no sign of burning out and it's just as bright as ever. The ability to dim the lights is nice and it's perfect for when you get up in the middle of the night and don't want to hurt your eyes, but the fact that it can change colour is AWESOME!
