Opening the bag, it is an instant hit of caramel notes - almost overpowering - but in the enticing way. Roast color is very bright with a decent amount of crema - smooth and silky! I am not entirely sure how much caffeine is in it, but I would assume for a double shot, it's anywhere between 120mg to 160mg of caffeine for a standard medium roast. On the initial sip, a good amount of caramel in the nose note, smooth initial hit with a hint of caramel (unfortunately couldn't taste the hazelnut or citrus), with a slightly bitter finish. I'm starting to learn that almost all of the beans I've tried has a slightly bitter finish, which seems pretty standard, but I don't really know any better - YET! I have mixed this with Oatly Oatmilk Barista edition, Fairlife Whole Milk, and Califia Oatmilk Barista edition, and I love the combo with all of these milks. Great buy. **Q: How do insure this is authentic**
A: I dont know what you mean by authentic. I will just tell you what i know. I heard a commercial on the radio. It stated that this was the best coffee in the world by a pole. So I bought a bag and gave it to my sister for Christmas 2 years ago. She raved and raved about it and started buying it herself cuz now no other coffee will do. Now I give it as gifts. I've given it to my fiance his mother my daughter and coworkers and everybody says that it's delicious. I hope this helps

**Q: How much time has passed after roasting to ship date?**
A: Ordered march 6th, shipped the 7th, delivered the 8th, roasted december 22, 2022, use by march 22, 2023...

**Q: Curious how fresh this is compared to buying it directly from Stumptown. Cannot imagine it's even close?**
A: I have purchased it from Amazon and the near grocery store who carries it and have not noticed a difference in freshness.
