Since I have really long hair this brush helps me so much it covers a great chunk of my hair when brushing and it detalles so fast. They do last me a while maybe 1 to 2 years and that's when I change them because ai notice the wear and tear also the Grey part in the handle does come a little loose so your hair can get stuck a little so beware of that. Other than that I really do love this brush and it will continue to be it.

**Q: are the bristles plastic?**
A: Yes the bristles are plastic very cheaply made brush it broke the second time I used it

**Q: is this a good brush for thick hair? is the brush good for any length of hair?**
A: I believe this brush is really good for thick hair. My natural hair gets very tangled and its easy for me to brush it when its wet. I don't brush too hard but it gets the job done. My normal hair is short and I have weave in right now. It works pretty good for both length. That's my opinion though. I hope this helped.

A: Is solid black opaque and is flat in the back side!!! Wonderful brush for any type of hair.
