Review: The good outweighs the bad - 200W, N-Type, Bifacial 1) Yes, the reviews are accurate regarding the incredibly inadequate packaging. I bought 5 of these and every single one of them had varying amounts of damage. The cardboard was shredded, corners missing, cuts, slashes, and holes throughout. Only one panel arrived shattered, though. I returned it via UPS store drop off the same day and they had a replacement at my door in under a week. The other four and the replacement panel all have some scuffs and nicks in the frames. I had to file down a couple of nasty sharp aluminum shards to avoid injury while handling. 2) You might wonder after that first bit why I'd give this 5 stars. I'll tell you: When they arrived all dinged up and I had to return one (and after I received the replacement), I gave them a quick once over with my multi-meter and a few minutes each plugged in to a small power station to make sure they operated. They all worked OK but seemed pretty average as far as output. I finally got around to starting the project I bought these for today. I decided to lay them out and wire them up in my yard in the configuration they're going to get mounted on the porch roof. Just laying on the ground on a cool but less than ideal sky condition day, they gave me 920 watts in a 5-S configuration whenever the sun was mostly out of the clouds. Open circuit voltage for the array was 111 volts. I won't know exactly what they're capable of until I get an ideal conditions day, but I paid .57 cents a rated watt and I'm getting 92% of rated watts just laying on the ground without any optimization and no bi-facial potential what so ever. 3) This format (31 or so inches by 47 or so inches and weighing about 21lbs) is handy. I'd imagine most people buy these for mounting on RVs, toy-haulers, and such. I bought them to roof mount on my porch. They're small and light enough for one person to manage pretty easily. After testing them today, I brought them up on a 12 foot roof and mounted them by myself (and I'm no spring chicken). Depending on how you intend to mount them, you might spend more money on mounting hardware than you would otherwise with larger format panels because of math (generally speaking, 2 400 watt panels might need half the mounting hardware 4 200 watt panels might need), but it sure is nice to be able to safely manage panels solo. 4) Finally, the last thing to know about these from my perspective is that the only reason I decided to type a review is because I came back to this page to buy half a dozen more of these. Low quality packaging, shipping damage, dealing with a return... Small potatoes. If I was in some sort of a huge hurry to get this project done, maybe I'd feel different. The price, performance, and manageable form factor far outweigh the rest. They're good enough for me to buy twice and use up the remainder of the space on my porch roof. (though it does look like the price went up a few dollars since last month - still not as expensive as comparable calsuns or etc, but future review readers should eye-ball the price tag and make sure it's still competitive before buying)
Review: HQST Solar Panels are an outstanding value with great performance. - 200 Watts each, x 4 panels. Used with a Victron Multiplus 2, 12V 3000 Watt Inverter/Charger. Full Victron system. MPPT is 50/100 for 800 Watts of solar. My rig is a 22 ft Class C RV, Ford E350, 6.8L engine, V10. I have so much energy coming in that I can run a 10 cu ft AC residential fridge full time and lose about 5% of my energy on that. I live in the Bay area of Northern California, Silicon Valley, so lots of sunshine in summer. We will see in winter! But I also have the Victron Orion DC-DC Charger for alternator charging when I drive or just run the engine to boost batteries. So far, zero issues. Cheap and good solar panels, highly recommend. HQST does not have phone support, but you cannot beat the price at $239 for 2 panels 200 Watts each! Outstanding value and performance.

## Features

- 【Bifacial Tech, Up to 15% Extra Power】- Designed with advanced bifacial technology, HQST 100W Bifacial Solar Panels capture direct sunlight on the front and reflected sunlight (albedo) on the rear. The result? Up to 15% more energy output than traditional panels, delivering up to 115W of power from a 100W panel. Maximize your solar potential with HQST 100watt Solar Panel!
- 【Installation Tips for Maximum Power Output】- Maximize energy output by installing bifacial solar panels on reflective surfaces or mounting them above the ground to capture more rear-side sunlight. For optimal results, set the solar panels at an angle between 20° and 45° in highly reflective areas like snow, cement, sand, grass, or white surfaces.
- 【Grade A+ Cells, Up to 25% Efficiency】- HQST 12V 100watt solar panels feature advanced Grade A+ 9-busbar solar cells, rigorously tested with EL technology to ensure zero cracks. With an outstanding conversion rate of up to 25%, HQST bifacial solar panels outperform traditional panels and deliver better performance.
- 【Enhanced Low-Light Performance】- HQST solar panels utilize advanced PERC solar cell technology to maximize energy conversion. By reflecting unused sunlight back into the cell, PERC cells capture more light, including low-energy infrared, making them highly efficient in cloudy or low-light conditions. Built-in bypass diodes prevent overheating and ensure this bifacial panels continue performing even when partially shaded.
- 【Built to Last, A Smart Investment】- Rated IP68 for dust and water resistance, this 100W solar panel is built to withstand dirt, splashes, and rain with ease. Its anti-corrosion aluminum alloy frame ensures decades of outdoor reliability. Engineered to handle extreme conditions, it boasts 2400 Pa wind resistance and 5400 Pa snow load capacity. Delivering powerful energy output for up to 30 years, HQST 100watt bifacial solar panel is a smart, long-lasting investment for sustainable power.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Makes full rated output.
*by F***E on September 23, 2026*

On a sunny day, I have seen greater than the rated output of these panels, as reported by my Victron Cerbo. Construction seems solid. Packaging for shipping leaves something to be desired. Good corner protection, but flimsy boxes. The panels had broken out of both packages that I received. But the panels survived.
