Measuring 6.125 by 8.875 inches, it’s compatible with popular Sizzix machines like BIGkick, Big Shot, and Vagabond. This platform eliminates the need for tape, ensures perfect die registration, and simplifies alignment on patterned papers, making it an essential upgrade for serious crafters seeking precision and ease. ## Description The attraction is obvious! For perfect registration, the Sizzix Magnetic Platform uses high-grade magnets to hold Thinlits, Framelits and other wafer-thin, chemically-etched dies securely in place during cutting. This makes them instantly compatible with the BIGkick, Big Shot, Big Shot Pro and Vagabond machines. To die-cut one layer of thin material using Sizzix Framelits, Thinlits and other wafer-thin, chemically-etched dies, the Magnetic Platform is required along with Cutting Pads. The diagrams on the Magnetic Platform and its tabs offer easy guidelines about how to make the perfect Sizzix sandwich. Not suitable to use with a pacemaker. ## Features - Set Of 1 ## Technical Specifications | Specification | Value | |---------------|-------| | Asin | B00DNUGVZW | | Best Sellers Rank | #2,471,768 in Home & Kitchen (See Top 100 in Home & Kitchen) #686 in Die-Cuts | | Brand Name | Sizzix | | Country Of Origin | USA | | Customer Reviews | 4.8 4.8 out of 5 stars (3,520) 4.8 out of 5 stars | | Global Trade Identification Number | 00841182073136 | | Item Weight | 1.05 Pounds | | Manufacturer | Sundance | | Manufacturer Part Number | SIZ656499 | | Material Type | Plastic | | Model Number | 656499 | | Number Of Items | 1 | | Number Of Packs | 1 | | Set Name | Sizzix Magnetic Platform (1) | | Size | 6.125 x 8.875 x 0.625 inches | | Style Name | Practical/Utilitarian | | Unit Count | 1 Count | | Upc | 841182073136 | ## Product Details - **Brand:** Sizzix - **Item Weight:** 1.05 Pounds - **Manufacturer:** Sundance - **Material:** Plastic - **UPC:** 841182073136 ## Images ![BIGkick/Big Shot/Vagabond Magnetic Platform, 6.125 by 8.875 by .625-Inch - Image 1](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/81hIvNGynNL.jpg) ## Questions & Answers **Q: can it be used with spellbinders nestabilites** A: Spellbinders Nestabilities can definitely be used with the Sizzix Magnetic Platform. I use it all the time and love it. **Q: Is this platform ALL I need to cut out (very) thin dies? Or, do I need any additional shims? Thank you.** A: I have been using the platform and the normal two plastic cutting plates. So far I haven't needed any shims. But, remember each machine is different, so if your machine is not as tight in the rollers as mine might be, you may need a shim. I really like this magnetic platform for the wafer thin dies. I don't think you will regret buying one. **Q: does the magnetic platform only come in the short length** A: Actually, I purchased a longer magnetic platform that the same length as the extended platform. Works great! **Q: Is this a magnetic platform for a big shot?** A: Yes - I have used it in my Big Shot. However... Be sure that your cutting pads are newer (and flat) otherwise the magnetic pull isn't as strong. I used this product for my Christmas cards and after experiencing the problem above, purchased The Genius Platform system. It was wonderful, didn't cut into the cutting pads and had no issues with the magnetic platform. I would recommend this product over the Sizzix one. ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ It does the job *by on Reviewed in Canada 17 November 2025* This has held up and done what it needs to do.
