Just pull up the foot rest where it bends. The carrying case is OK quality. The zipper is plastic and one of the teeth is distorted causing friction to zip up but instead of returning the entire order - chair and bag, the company gave me 20% off the purchase.

Great chair, perfect height and not heavy at all ( for me), easy to carry in it's carrying case. A little tricky to close it but I practiced at home...Lol. Just pull up the foot rest where it bends. The carrying case is OK quality. The zipper is plastic and one of the teeth is distorted causing friction to zip up but instead of returning the entire order - chair and bag, the company gave me 20% off the purchase.
