The lettuce under the LED-based Prsim lighting is greener, however it is significantly deformed and not soft and subtle like those under the CFL light, but they are definitely crispy. In all fairness, I may have had the Prism LED too close or else the color spectrum from the Prism LEDs are setup too broad for both flowering and leaf production, which may be causing my concern.The photos above show two 48" SunBlaster lights over identical Hydroponic Butter Lettuce planted at the same time. The closer row is lit with a traditional 48" SunBlaster CFL with nano-reflector, and the far row is lit with the 48" SunBlaser Prism LED light. There is a visible difference in the crop color and thickness between the two. For those wishing to maximize your dark green's growing products that flower and bud, the Prism may be a spectacular light for you over the traditional HID or CFL.The positives of the Prism is that the output in light is noticeably brighter for the same Wattage input.
