The norm is that you buy a sweater, wash it way too often, and throw it out way too soon. We believe in changing that behavior, because the way we treat our clothes today is simply not possible in the long run. The philosophy of clothing care is nothing new. A few generations ago, everybody knew how to take care of their clothes, but since then the tradition has been forgotten. We want to bring it back, but with a modern twist. With this goal in mind, our founders Frej, Petra, and Martin started Steamery in 2014. Steamery is on a mission to revive the lost tradition of clothing care. Our products make your old textiles look like new while prolonging their lifespan. On a grand scale, we aim to slow down unsustainable processes and inspire people to embrace a slow fashion lifestyle. We like to think that you never really own a garment; you are only caring for it until the next owner. At Steamery, we want to inspire people to care for their clothes in a conscious way and view garments as lifelong companions and worthwhile investments rather than temporary items to wear and then quickly discard. Wrinkle-free results in no time, both at home and on the go. Designed for the urban, fast-paced lifestyle, this garment steamer will steam through stubborn creases, making your clothes and home textiles look like new. With a modern and sleek linear design, Steamery will fit seamlessly into your existing wardrobe and interior décor. Fast heat-up time for quick and easy steaming, with no ironing board required. Ideal for use at home and easy to pack in your carry-on luggage when travelling. Works brilliantly on garments, home textiles, and furniture. Comes with a 2-year promise for complete peace of mind. Extend the lifetime of your cherished clothes by refreshing them without washing. Rapidly and efficiently remove unwanted odours, shallow dirt, and bacteria. Save time and effort by quickly removing wrinkles from your clothes right on the hanger. Includes a heat protection bag that can be used as a wearable tool during steaming and for storage. This has had good reviews and looked ergonomically well designed. The package arrived and it is well packaged - a stylish box with the product. The steamer, instructions and a bag to store the steamer that can be doubled as a heat proof glove. Due to being in an area of hard water I bought ironing water. The tank easily pops off the base of the steamer but I was a little surprised at how small this is. I plugged it all in, waited for the orange light to turn green and held the steamer against the garment. The first thing as a positive is that this steamer is quite light to hold. The first negative is that you need the glove to properly hold the garment to get the creases out. I steamed a cotton dress and a jersey dress - I had to refill the tank 2x as it’s quite small (another negative). Hence my four stars. What I liked about this over the other steamers around was that this can be used upright as well as like an iron. And it didn’t drip.Overall - this is a great steamer to refresh clothes and to quickly go over something to remove some wrinkles. I am pleased with this and my only gripe is that I wish the tank was that little bit bigger, I reckon a tank is enough for one garment at a time. ### ⭐ Really average and broke after 1 year with even minimal use *by on Reviewed in the United Kingdom 29 June 2026* I’ve had this sub a year used it 3/4 times and it’s broken already. The plate doesn’t heat up and no steam comes out. Even when it was working it wasn’t that effective in removing wrinkles - don’t waste ur time on this steamer. ## Frequently Bought Together - Steamery Handheld Clothes Steamer Cirrus 2, 1500W, UK Plug, Stainless Steel Mouthpiece, 25 Second Fast Heat Up, Garment Wrinkles Remover, Black - Steamery Fabric Shaver Lint Remover Pilo 1, Removes Pills, Bobbles and Lint from Clothes and Textiles, Portable, Rechargeable with USB, Black --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.co.za/products/322484404-steamery-handheld-clothes-steamer-cirrus-2-1500w-uk-plug-stainless](https://www.desertcart.co.za/products/322484404-steamery-handheld-clothes-steamer-cirrus-2-1500w-uk-plug-stainless) --- *Product available on Desertcart South Africa* *Store origin: ZA* *Last updated: 2026-10-20*
