They are a bit long for me, but because I'm sensitive and have learned through trial and error that I can't wear anything that has a type of plastic or mix as far as side wings or "supposed" trappings of urine. By cutting each long pad in half and stapling the cut ends, I make two male guards out of each pad (i.e., effectively making them half price).
