I have used these for about 4 months, heavy daily use. So far no sign of any significant degradation. They are very comfortable and I have not noticed any difference in terms of noise cancellation. I am very happy with them. I am confident they will last longer than the Bose originals. In my experience, the Bose originals last about 6 to 8 months and then basically crumble away. **Q: Is it softer than the original? i bought solowit ones and they are too hard so the noice cancelling won't work.** A: The lambskin feels soft right from new, especially after broken in and moisturized by the skin oil. From most users' feedback, the noise-cancelling is not noticeably affected. **Q: Are these ear pad cushions better than the ones made from protein leather?** A: There are no pads for Bose QC made of protein leather. Every other pad on the market for these headphones is made of polyurethane (PU) leather, which is a different and much lower quality material compared to protein leather. That said, real leather is vastly more durable than PU leather. However, it's thicker and somewhat less soft, so it feels different (especially when new). It was much less of a chore. Anc inproved. Though my existing qc45 pads were 12 months old, and worn heavly (during day and sleep). They really do break down and the anc gets worse after a while. I've noticed that on other pads too. But these really did improve the isolation. They are slighly stiffer but they soften, but i actually like that, and I really like the leather. I wish they were 100% leather even on the bottom. Anyway i can recomend these. Just understand they will be a little firmer than the oem. Now OEM's have improved. They don't flake anymore on the qc45, finally.
