Are these better than the powder?

That is completely a matter of personal preference, and the flavor. For example, I think that the Salted Caramel in much better as a shake than in the powder version, while Cinnamon Bun Powder is as addictive as crack to me.....lol I use almond milk to make my shakes with & use 10-12 oz to make, so take that into consideration. My wife is crazy about the Cafe Mocha shakes, and I really like the Strawberry powder for a change of pace. You get the idea..... Buy the small 4-packs to sample the shakes..... Good luck, Sparks

How much soy do they contain

There is no soy protein in the Lean Body RTDs. There is soy lecithin which is used as an emulsifier. Search "Soy Lecithin" for a detailed explaiation on why its used in various food preparations.

are these supposed to be weak and leak out the glued area at the top if squeezed?

No, I just grabbed one and squeezed, no leaks. sounds like manufacture defect for the packaging. I would send that box back for replacement.
