Featuring a built-in compass, 10dB amplifier, and dual audio-visual indicators, it enables precise satellite dish alignment without external power. Ideal for professionals and campers alike, it ensures optimal signal strength with easy plug-and-play operation. ## Description Signal Strength is presented graphically on the LCD-display in form of thermometer-scales and in numbers (0-99). It can also present pitch tones (the higher tone the better signal) on the buzzer. The digital satellite finder is very sensitive and can detect the weakest of signals , strong incoming signals(powerful satellite, big dishes) can easily be attenuated for better readout . Please kindly follow the below steps: 1. Connect the item with power supply. Then it will show 0%. 2. Disconnect LNB and rotate the button till the end (clockwise) in the bottom right corner. 3. High winds knock it out of alignment. You will need a short (3-4 feet) piece of coaxial cable also. Install it between the dish and your existing cable. Meter is very sensitive. You will have to decrease the gain quickly or the meter will burn out. Review: Seems like a decent product, but it did nothing after powering up. - I don't like to write negative reviews, but this item did not work. It was easy to install on my satellite cable and powered up just fine, but the satellite signal power level indicator should change when the antenna pointing position changes, and it did not change at all. I tried 3 attenuation levels and nothing happened (although the normalized signal level did change from 99 to 81 to 62%). I see that many folks have had success with this device, and others have had the same experience I have, so I assume it's a production quality issue. Just want others to be aware. ## Features - High Quality Component: and professional design; Designed with a compass for easier and quicker tuning. It worked perfectly. But you need to have the proper coordinates from the provider (in my case Dish). The finder just fine tunes the final position. ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Inexpensive and works great. *by S***R on January 4, 2024* Use this meter to align my DirecTv high-definition dish.
