Review: Big bang for your buck. - For now it's five stars because it works exactly as it should, heats quickly, keeps temperature constant, and really couldn't be much simpler to use. While the controls directly on the Inkbird aren't what you'd call intuitive, it took about 5 minutes to figure out without even looking at the instructions except the Wi-Fi part. In the app however it really couldn't be simpler, pairing to the Inkbird and my Wi-Fi was easy. I would recommend connecting directly through the app then mess with the controls on the device later. A little over 90 minutes out of the box I had a chuck steak with some shrimp, and I have to be honest even with just a chuck steak it cooks so perfectly that I put it against any steak I've ever had in a restaurant. Super tender and juicy. The next meal was porterhouse, scallops, and brussel sprouts and again it came out perfect. There are certainly tricks and tweaks to learn for different cuts,thickness, etc.. but I have cooked something every night for the week since I got it and haven't had a miss yet. I say five stars for now cuz the only thing that might change the review is going to be durability down the road but it seems solid and well built.

For now it's five stars because it works exactly as it should, heats quickly, keeps temperature constant, and really couldn't be much simpler to use. While the controls directly on the Inkbird aren't what you'd call intuitive, it took about 5 minutes to figure out without even looking at the instructions except the Wi-Fi part. In the app however it really couldn't be simpler, pairing to the Inkbird and my Wi-Fi was easy. I would recommend connecting directly through the app then mess with the controls on the device later. A little over 90 minutes out of the box I had a chuck steak with some shrimp, and I have to be honest even with just a chuck steak it cooks so perfectly that I put it against any steak I've ever had in a restaurant. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Sous Vide Cooker works great; hand vacuum, not so much

I purchased this kit as a Christmas gift for my husband who had been wanting to get into sous vide for awhile now. From my research, it Inkbird was recommended as a perfectly usable, practical, and affordable brand for the beginner, so I pulled the trigger on it. All of the advertised components of the kit were present. The sous vide cooker itself was easy to use and set up. I know some folks had issues with the app syncing to the cooker, but we got them connected just fine. My husband was able to make steaks and pork that ended up super tender and we’re both very happy with it (him for getting a new gadget for his cooking arsenal and me for getting to eat the the food after he makes it)! The only issue we had was with the hand pump vacuum. It didn’t work out of the box so we tried charging it overnight. It didn’t work the next day either. If you really need a vacuum pump, I’d get it elsewhere. Otherwise, there’s the water displacement method, which is what my husband did. We might get a vacuum sealer down the road, but so far, this has worked just fine.
