I loved amazon basics filament before it went away. **Q: Does this PLA have any additives that would prevent it from being food safe?** A: While not labeled "food safe", I believe annealing the PLA in super fine salt in the oven for an hour would eliminate the porosity most are concerned about for cleanliness. Look up this process on Youtube. Many makers are doing this not only to help with porosity and surface finish, but also strength. This annealing helps the layers stick together better, and packing it inside super fine salt prevents sagging and warping. **Q: Can I buy this filament without the build surface?
