**Q: is a remote same as advertised? in some reviews, users show different type. also touch switch part looks different.**
A: I bought mine back in May this year.  What see is different than mine.  I have a on/off switch and a USB port on the lamp stand.  My remote controls all light functions.  It's a great product with lots of versatility.  Hope this helps your decision.

**Q: If I got a second lamp, does one remote control both or does each remote control the respective one lamp?**
A: Follow the directions to unpair the second lamp from its remote. Check to be sure the remote no longer controls the lamp. Use the first lamps remote to turn it off and then UNPLUG the first lamp. Take the first lamp’s remote and follow the directions to pair it with the second lamp. Turning the first lamp off just helps to get the two lamps in sync with remote for the on/off function. If they wind up not in sync. To sync, try to turn them both off, unplug the one that is off, use the remote to turn the other lamp off, plug the lamp back in. I believe that unplugging the first lamp before pairing with the second is necessary because otherwise that remote will be handshaking with its lamp when you try to pair it with the second lamp.

**Q: Does remote use rf (radio freq) or ir (infrared) to connect to the lamp?**
A: RF remote. You can be in a different room in the house with no direct sight, and it operates the same as being in the same room as the lamp.

**Q: does this work with a wall switch? i.e., may i connect lamp to an outlet controlled by a wall switch and turn on/off lamp from the wall switch? thanks**
A: Yes, you can turn on/off the floor lamp from the wall switch.
