I need to know if this diameter is less than 2.4 mm. Thank you.** A: The red and black wires each measure from 2.1 to 2.2 mm, so Yes **Q: What is the outside diameter of the individual sleeve of each wire? I need to know if this diameter is less than 2.4 mm. Thank you.** A: My CL3 is #16 so it will be smaller than #14. My 2 conductor #14 CL3 is very slightly over 1/4" at it's widest point. **Q: Can u use this to wire up a LED light bar on a side x side?** A: Yes if you're using a correct size wire to the LED light bar, just wire the light color to color and run the wires to a switch. I wired my LED pods and lightbar in my grill on my truck using the 14/2. **Q: I will be useing this with logitech z906 5.1 surround sound speaker system it has 12 guage, would going 16 guage be better?** A: Usually better to stay with the actual AWG size of the device. The smaller guage wire, though would work, might degrade performance. ## Frequently Bought Together - GearIT 10/2 Speaker Wire (100 Feet) 10AWG Gauge - Outdoor Direct Burial in Ground/in Wall / CL3 CL2 Rated / 2 Conductors - OFC Oxygen-Free Copper, Black 100ft - GEARit 14/4 Speaker Wire (100 Feet) 14AWG Gauge, Brown 4-Conductors/Outdoor Direct Burial in Ground/in Wall / CL3 CL2 Rated - OFC Oxygen-Free Copper, Brown 100ft - FosPower Banana Plugs 12 Pairs / 24 pcs, Closed Screw 24K Gold Plated Speaker Plug Connectors for Speaker Wire, Wall Plate, Home Theater, Audio/Video Receiver, Amplifiers and Sound Systems --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.co.za/products/308889956-gearit-10-awg-outdoor-speaker-wire-100-ft-10-2](https://www.desertcart.co.za/products/308889956-gearit-10-awg-outdoor-speaker-wire-100-ft-10-2) --- *Product available on Desertcart South Africa* *Store origin: ZA* *Last updated: 2026-10-08*
