I'm so disappointed that I spent $299 tax for something that sounds like it wasn't screwed on properly. Okay, I turned it off for about 12 hours and now it sounds like a diesel generator when the compressor comes on. I can see the fan wobbling. I bought this because of the reviews it had from online. It was rated as one of the quietest units. I was going to opt for the cheaper unit but decided to get the mid range since it had some of the best reviews. Well, since the reviews said it was one of the quietest, and this isn't, then it's defective. How can anyone listen to something that sounds like a diesel generator for hours? UPDATE - It was replaced with a new unit and it's working great. I'm assuming the first unit was defective since I sent the batch number and they didn't ask any questions and sent a new one. The new one lives up to it's reviews because it's really quiet for what it is and works well. Very useful during a massive rainstorm that caused some flooding here in New England.
