The install was simple enough, you can secure the flange with a construction adhesive, or bend the tabs back to sandwich it on the drywall. If you leave the tabs straight, you can screw straight into the studs/framing. Or a combination of both. For mine, I screwed the latch side to nearby studs, and then folded the hinge side around the drywall. The latch is a little tough to use, it's not very "smooth" but it's something that is so rarely used, I'm not really worried about it. Review: Perfect Access Door - Perfect access for what I needed.
