NONE of my regular store-bought loaves (Orowheat, Roman Meal, Prairie Harvest, etc. Wouldn't fit in the 5 1/4" length slot)This one works like a dream! Great design (looks almost like my old Buick!), looks retro, simple operation and controls,...even toasting and heat distribution, BEST TOAST EVER!People that complain about this toaster (or any other appliance for that matter), appliances aren't made the way they used to be, and you need to have a little mechanical finesse and understanding of how things work.You'd think something as simple as a toaster would be straight forward...It isn't!So many toasters have been over-designed...too many settings, crappy mechanics and electrics...for the love of God, I just need toast!! The way bad reviews on THIS toaster seemed to be consistent with the same issues...not ejecting (popping up), not done enough, whatever...all seem (from what I've read) to be operator issues.
