It's satisfyingly heavy and well built, and the style is just beautiful. I love the old fashioned switches and dials, that feel very smooth and solid. The manual radio dial in the middle is a lovely touch. We mainly bought this for playing vinyl, and it does not disappoint in sound quality, though the arm/needle are probably the cheapest feeling part of this item. It's very light and not well balanced, as such it skipped on all the records I tried. This was easily fixed by placing a small weight (I used a little blob of blue-tac initially) behind the needle. This gave it just enough weight to stop the skipping/bouncing. No it's not ideal and you shouldn't have to do it.....but it's a small price to pay for such a nice looking and functional music player. Radio works great and so do CD's. I haven't tried tapes yet as I don't have any!! Bluetooth also works perfectly. Sound quality is surprisingly deep and rich, so overall this is a really great piece of kit. I bought a used version from Amazon warehouse, which was supposed to be damaged in some way.....but I can't see anything wrong with it at all, so £50 saved!! Happy days!!
