It offers a polished finish, consistent strength grading, and requires no pre-moistening, warming up quickly for stable, long-lasting performance. Ideal for classical players seeking a dark, woody sound with durability that outperforms natural reeds. ## Description L g re Saxophone reeds are available for virtually all saxophones and have a beautiful tone and range, together with all the normal advantages of a synthetic reed. One of the best features of a L g re reed is that it does not need to be moistened prior to playing. It will warm up over the first few minutes, and should then be stable for an extended period. L g re reeds are graded with great accuracy and sold in strengths. Each reed has a serial number and a strength which will correspond closely to a typical cane reed strength scale. The best thing about this material is it's sound. Professional players often use the word woody to describe it and this is the highest compliment! We know that you won t believe it until you play the reed yourself...so give it a try!The original cuts are designed for a darker sound and generally used for a classical set-up. New players should choose the Studio Cut. ## Features - Brand: LEGERE - Special polymer compound - Designed to mimic the important properties of damp cane - Fantastic response you would expect from a great reed - Will last for months, not days ## Technical Specifications | Specification | Value | |---------------|-------| | ASIN | B0035GULAK | | Best Sellers Rank | #10,019 in Musical Instruments ( See Top 100 in Musical Instruments ) #25 in Reeds | | Brand Name | Legere | | Colour | Transparent | | Country of Origin | USA | | Customer Reviews | 4.5 4.5 out of 5 stars (335) | | Finish Type | Polished | | Global Trade Identification Number | 00827778321003 | | Instrument Key | E Flat | | Item Dimensions | 7 x 1.1 x 11.4 Centimeters | | Item Type Name | Alto Sax Reed | | Item Weight | 9 g | | Manufacturer | Acme | | Manufacturer Part Number | AS2.5 | | Material Type | polymer | | Model Number | AS2.5 | | Number Of Items | 1 | | Style | #2.5 | | UPC | 827778321003 | | Warranty Description | Warranty against manufacturer defects | ## Product Details - **Brand:** Legere - **Colour:** Transparent - **Instrument Key:** E Flat - **Material:** polymer - **Style:** #2.5 ## Images ![Legere AS2.5 Eb Alto Saxophone Standard Cut No. 2.5 Reed - Image 1](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/41odt3--ybL.jpg) ![Legere AS2.5 Eb Alto Saxophone Standard Cut No. 2.5 Reed - Image 2](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/41VmKNABmmL.jpg) ![Legere AS2.5 Eb Alto Saxophone Standard Cut No. 2.5 Reed - Image 3](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/419XYJWhouL.jpg) ![Legere AS2.5 Eb Alto Saxophone Standard Cut No. 2.5 Reed - Image 4](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/51cpW+BwMLL.jpg) ![Legere AS2.5 Eb Alto Saxophone Standard Cut No. 2.5 Reed - Image 5](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/51THjaB+ozL.jpg) ## Questions & Answers **Q: What reed is best for beginners, intermediate, and advanced musicians?** A: Advanced & professional musicians will appreciate the responsiveness and sound clarity of the Légère Signature, American Cut, and French Cut lines while students and marching band performers may prefer our Classic models which have greater durability **Q: What types of saxophone reeds does Légère offer?** A: Signature, Classic, American Cut, French Cut, & Studio.
