The brace reduced pain within a few hours after a day of figuring out where to position it. 2. The brace is durable, made with good quality materials. 3. Within a day, I had less pain. Within a week (now), I am well on my way to healing. The intense pain is gone. 4. The brace helps a lot with lifting and daily activities. As I heal, I'll start doing more without it, but for now, it supports my elbow when I'm lifting or moving things, turning a jar lid, mowing, vacuuming, typing, etc. (You must still be careful not to overdo it, and icing the elbow once or twice a day is a significant part of healing). Cons: 1. More information included about positioning the brace correctly would be desirable. I have golfer's elbow, and the positioning is different than for tennis elbow. It took me a number of tries to get it right, which means waiting a while each time to see if it's helping. 2. This brace is difficult to apply, and it's the reason for 4 stars instead of 5, as well as only 3 stars for comfort. An elbow brace needs to be applied with one hand, obviously, and I have moderately severe arthritis in both wrists and all fingers. I can't apply it myself because the Velcro closure is SO strong. There's no way I can open the closure myself to loosen the brace and apply it. My husband has to open it for me every morning.
