## Description

Hearing loss from exposure to loud sound affects millions of people. Noise-induced hearing loss is preventable. And it's easy to prevent. ETY-Plugs were developed to provide low cost, one-size-fits-most high fidelity earplugs that can be used in a variety of noisy environments. The goal of the ETY-Plugs design was the same as Etymotic's famous Musicans Earplugs: to reduce noise but preserve sound quality; in effect, to turn down the noise but not muffle voices, environmental sounds, or music. These high-fidelity earplugs are effective or anyone who needs to hear accurately in noise: attendees at concerts, clubs, other loud performance venues; aircraft personnel; construction workers; industrial workers; medical/dental workers; workers in environments with loud music such as concert halls, nightclubs or bars; emergency vehicle personnel; athletes; participants in motor sports; truck drivers. Each purchase includes high fidelity earplugs, black cord, carrying case, and instructions. Easy to carry in your purse, backpack or pocket. Available in standard size for smaller ear canals or large size for larger ear canals.

Review: solid - These are perfect for gigging and not losing my hearing in the process ! Keeps the jam spirit up also as the instruments can still be heard well enough.

## Questions & Answers

**Q: Are these good for brass musicians? I hate the loud buzzing noises I get from other ear protection and am looking for something new.**
A: EtyPLUGS are great for you brass players. They will turn down the volume evenly across all frequencies. You won't lose the highs and the sound will still be clear, not muffled. As the percussionist said, you will likely be able to hear yourself better. Since these are passive earplugs, there will not be any buzzing. Standard size fits most. If you aren't sure which size you will need, try the ER20-COMBO pack for your first purchase. It contains 1 standard fit pair and 1 large fit pair.Etymotic Research Customer Service

**Q: How well do these work to reduce wind noise on a motorcycle at freeway speeds?**
A: I would imagine if they are well enough seated to not work themselves out that they would do fine. I work in healthcare and my patients depend on me and my stethoscope. I wore them to a rather loud rock concert with pyrotechnics and etc etc...had no post-concert ringing/issues yet was still able to hear the music and enjoy it.

**Q: What is the rubbery material made of? Are these latex-free?**
A: I’m unsure. I have used it but it doesn’t reduce the sound from my ears.

**Q: how to know if size will be correct for me?**
A: That's tough question to answer. With custom-made earplugs, an audiologist comes and makes a mold of your ears, but with these, there's nobody that shows up at your door. All I can do is compare it to the commonly-available disposable foam earplugs that you can find at any Home Depot. These white plugs seem to be the same size as those--in other words, they both are too large for my ears.So if the disposable plugs fit your ears comfortably, then these will likely fit yours comfortably. If the disposable plugs are too large, then go for the smaller, blue Etymotic plugs.

very good but I lost them the day I tried them out but really good would buy again for my next show

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Sizing is important!
*by B***Y on 15 February 2023*

This type of earplug was initially recommended to me many years ago by a musician. I have used them for 8-10 years hunting with my dogs... for protection against shotgun blasts, and more importantly protection against my shrill dog whistle. Has worked well on both counts. The plugs are sold in STANDARD SIZE and LARGE SIZE. I bought some of each.... and found the standard size just fall out of my ears. I'm only 5' 8"... not a big man. Had a friend of mine try these...same thing... standard size just wouldn't stay in his ear. So... this is a good product... but sizing is important.
