PEBEO Setasilk Silk Water Based Gutta (20ml, Black) is a pearlescent, opaque gutta designed for silk painting outlines using the Serti technique. It air dries in 30 minutes and becomes water-resistant after a 3-4 minute iron fix, ensuring durability against hand washing and dry cleaning. Compatible with various application tools, it offers smooth flow and a glitter-like finish that enhances fabric art with professional-grade quality.

## Description

The Setasilk Water Based Guttas have a thick consistency and are used to create outlines - the Serti technique. The colors are pearlescent. The Guttas are used directly from the tube and nozzle or from a pipette and Gutta nib. They flow readily into the silk fibers forming a barrier to the color. Setasilk is applied afterwards. All the Guttas can be washed after having been iron fixed with the exception of the colorless Gutta which is designed to wash out leaving a white line on the fabric where it has been applied. Opaque and pearly. Conforms to ASTM D-4236.

**Q: can the pebeo gutta be used on cotton material?**
A: no, this kind of gutta is just for silk.

**Q: How big is the aperature of the applicator tip?**
A: it says 012 on the tube. it's a pretty large opening. But you can put one of those metal tips on the end to make it a fine line. Dharma Trading company sells them in 09 and 05

**Q: Does it wash out, but leave the black color? I don't want to feel the gutta after setting and washing...I used one that remained shiny and hard. Yuck!**
A: I didn't wash out It remains firm but non sticky. What I didn't like is that the point of the tube is too thin and the gutta fails while you're using it. Besides the quantity is very small.
