I always peel the carrots as it tells you to do so in the instructions and cut them in half. Take out big stones from fruits too. Just let it defrost first but the fact that it has been frozen will affect the juice content. **Q: How long is the warranty?** A: I didn't get a warranty. Silly me. Juice tastes great and it handles daily use well. Downsides: if you overload it, you definitely feel bits in the juice, and cleaning isn’t as effortless as some claim (takes me about 5 minutes, not 10 seconds). It is easy to assemble and put apart for cleaning. Still manageable and parts go in the dishwasher. Overall, very happy with the purchase, just be realistic about the pulp and cleanup time.
